iOS 27 lets Shortcuts run when a notification arrives. Hotline adds the missing piece: rules that decide what matters, and an alarm that actually wakes you.

  1. Add one automation

    In Shortcuts: "When I receive a notification from" the apps you care about, then the "Send to Hotline" action. You only set this up once.

  2. Make channels with rules

    Ring for an app, a person, a keyword or a regular expression, or a call while it's still ringing. Preview your rules against recent notifications before you rely on them.

  3. Sleep through the rest

    Matching notifications ring a real alarm, even on Silent and in Focus. Everything else stays a quiet banner.

When Mom, the school or the on-call line rings, Hotline sounds an alarm while the phone is still ringing. Everyone else stays silent.

  • Ring for incoming calls, missed calls, or both
  • Pick people by name, or match patterns with regular expressions
  • A cooldown keeps one call from ringing twice
  • Preview your rules against recent notifications before you rely on them

Every channel, your way

Each channel has its own alarm behavior, so a doorbell and a production outage don't have to ring the same way.

Ring now or count down

Ring immediately, or start a countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island so you can cancel it before it rings.

Ring until you answer

Snooze, or have the alarm ring again every few minutes until you tap Stop. Pick a color, and whether the notification's text appears.

Preview your rules

See which recent notifications a channel would have rung for, and why, before you rely on it. The activity log shows everything Hotline received.

No alarm pile-ups

A cooldown ignores repeats from the same person, like the missed-call alert that follows a ringing call.

Rules for real life

Only at night, only on weekdays, or only when an alert repeats 3 times in 10 minutes. Start from templates, turn any notification into a channel, or switch a channel off without touching Shortcuts.
